Care Summary
Feather Algae (Caulerpa sertularioides) grows in upright, feather-like fronds and is one of the more attractive Caulerpa species for the display tank. It grows moderately fast and provides good nutrient export. Like all Caulerpa, it can go sexual — turning pale and releasing spores — which causes a sudden nutrient spike. Harvest regularly and remove any pale or slimy portions immediately. Suitable for refugiums; in display tanks it pairs well with tangs and rabbitfish that will keep it grazed.
