A hardy large-polyp stony coral that does best with stable alkalinity and calcium, moderate light, and gentle to moderate flow that lets the flesh expand without tearing. Feed meaty foods or LPS pellets once or twice a week for best growth and color. Give it room — many LPS extend sweeper tentacles at night. Light: Low to moderate (about 50–150 PAR). Flow: Low to moderate, indirect. Placement: Sandbed or lower rockwork. Space: About 2–3 inches from neighbors.
