Potter's Angelfish
Centropyge potteri
Reef Safe

Care Summary
Potter's Angelfish is a Hawaiian endemic that is one of the most challenging pygmy angels to keep; it arrives stressed from deep collection, is sensitive to parameter changes, and can be very picky about food. Only attempt this fish in a mature tank of 55+ gallons with stable chemistry; avoid adding it during any period of system instability or concurrent with other new fish introductions. Feed sponge-based angel blends, nori, mysis, and varied frozen foods from day one; Potter's Angels that do not eat within the first week rarely recover, so put real effort into initial feeding. Once established it is a stunning display fish with red-orange and blue coloration unique to Hawaiian reefs; the difficulty is real but so is the reward for reefers who put in the work.
