Whitespot Pygmy Angelfish
Centropyge multispinis
Reef Safe
With Caution
Care Summary
The Whitespot Pygmy Angelfish is a lesser-known Centropyge from the Indian Ocean with brown and blue coloration and white spots; it is less commonly available but holds up well in captivity when properly set up. House it in 55+ gallons with dense, mature live rock for grazing and shelter; like all pygmy angels it needs a mature tank with established microfauna to supplement prepared foods. Feed mysis, nori, enriched brine, and algae-based pellets twice daily; the caution reef rating reflects the standard Centropyge tendency to nip LPS and zoanthids when underfed. It is a good choice for reefers who want a pygmy angel that is less commonly seen in other hobbyists' tanks; hardiness is comparable to Coral Beauty and Flame Angels when conditions are right.
