Kamoer X1 Dosing Pump
Kamoer
A single-head peristaltic dosing pump with no buttons at all — programming happens over Bluetooth from a phone app — sold for about $60 and daisy-chainable into a full dosing system one head at a time.
Why it mattered
Programmable dosing used to mean money: multi-head dosers cost hundreds, and the budget alternative was a refurbished medical pump from an auction site. Kamoer's X1, a standout new product of 2019, put app-controlled dosing at about $59–60 per head.
The single-head format changed how dosing systems grow. A keeper buys one head for alkalinity, adds a second for calcium later, and chains the power so the whole stack runs from one outlet — dosing sized to the tank and the budget at each step.
Kamoer, a pump specialist, also supplied the hobby's continuous-duty side: the FX-STP (2018) became the reference feed pump for calcium reactors. Between the X1 and FX-STP, the company's pumps quietly became infrastructure across price points.

Keeper notes
- Reviewers and keepers praise the calibration routine as fast and repeatable — accuracy holds with periodic recalibration.
- Bluetooth pairing for every adjustment is the common gripe with several heads; the WiFi Pro2 answered it.
- Owners of two-part setups recommend recalibrating whenever reservoirs are refilled, as a habit.
