Care Summary
The Crinoid Shrimp is a master of disguise, adopting the coloration of whatever crinoid feather star it chooses as its host, which means no two individuals look exactly alike. It's reef-safe and peaceful, requiring only a healthy crinoid host and stable water parameters to do well in a reef display tank. The main consideration is that crinoids themselves can be challenging to keep fed and healthy, so this shrimp is really only a good choice if you already have a thriving feather star in your system. The shrimp feeds on detritus and mucus from its host, but supplementing with fine particle foods like baby brine or reef roids broadcast into the current near the crinoid will help both animals thrive.
