Dove Snail
Columbella sp.

Care Summary
The Dove Snail is a small, smooth-shelled scavenger that is more carnivorous than most cleanup snails, feeding on detritus, uneaten meaty foods, and organic matter across the sand and rock surfaces. They are reef-safe and generally ignored by fish and other invertebrates due to their small size and unassuming appearance, making them a low-conflict addition to most reef and FOWLR setups. Dove Snails are not effective grazers of algae the way turbo or trochus snails are, so do not count on them for algae control, they earn their keep in the detritus and organics department. In an established tank with regular feeding they scavenge effectively on their own, but target-feed occasionally with small amounts of meaty foods or pellets to ensure they get enough nutrition.
