Common Coralline Alga is one of the most recognizable signs of a maturing reef tank, forming vivid purple and pink crusts across rockwork. Requires stable calcium, alkalinity, and magnesium levels — similar to SPS coral requirements. Best encouraged by maintaining NSW-level parameters and providing good flow to prevent detritus settling on it. It will naturally spread if conditions are right; seeding from an established tank or adding a CCA supplement can accelerate growth.
