Care Summary
The Domino Damselfish looks adorable as a juvenile with its black and white polka-dot pattern, but it matures into one of the most aggressive fish in the hobby for its size. A full-grown Domino in a 55-gallon will harass and injure fish twice its size; if you buy one as a juvenile, plan for its adult personality or you will regret the purchase. It is reef-safe and nearly indestructible as far as water chemistry goes; if you want a fish that can survive a cycle crash or a newcomer mistake, the Domino will outlast everything. Feed it anything; frozen, pellet, flake, live, it will eat aggressively whatever you put in the tank. The challenge is never its appetite, always its attitude.
