Care Summary

Carpet Anemones are among the largest and most powerful anemones in the hobby, capable of hosting multiple clownfish and commanding a tank all on their own. They require a species-specific or dedicated FOWLR setup with very strong lighting, excellent water quality, and open sand real estate well away from any corals or fish small enough to be consumed. The challenge is unmatched aggression and potent sting, this animal will capture and eat small fish, shrimp, and anything that wanders too close, so tank mates must be chosen carefully. Feed large, meaty portions of whole fish or shrimp two to three times a week and never let water quality slip, as Carpets crash quickly when parameters are unstable.
