The Electric Blue Hermit Crab is a striking, smaller hermit with vivid blue legs and orange-tipped antennae that make it one of the most eye-catching cleanup crew members available. It is a solid reef candidate that grazes filamentous algae and detritus with enthusiasm, and it is generally less aggressive toward snails than larger hermit species. Like all hermits, it will opportunistically take over shells, so stock a variety of empty shells in slightly larger sizes than it currently occupies. No supplemental feeding is required in an established system, but the occasional algae wafer or piece of seaweed clip will keep it active and thriving.
