Care Summary

The Haitian Reef Anemone is a small, colorful anemone from the Caribbean that is far hardier than its Indo-Pacific cousins and makes an excellent choice for hobbyists who want an anemone without the intense lighting demands. It does best in established reef tanks with moderate to high flow, stable parameters, and live rock to anchor itself, and while it can host certain damsels in the wild, clownfish hosting is inconsistent in captivity. Like all anemones, it is a wanderer, and if it is unhappy with its placement it will move around the tank until it finds a spot it likes, potentially stinging corals along the way. Feed small meaty items like mysis shrimp or finely chopped seafood directly to the tentacles once or twice a week to supplement what it captures on its own.
