Care Summary
The Pink Margin Shrimp, sometimes listed as the Pink Margin Peppermint Shrimp, is a small Lysmata species that brings both ornamental appeal and functional cleanup behavior to the reef tank. It is reef safe and generally peaceful, doing well in community reef setups with other non-aggressive invertebrates and fish, and multiple individuals can be kept together without the territorial issues you see with banded or coral shrimp. Like other Lysmata shrimp, it may occasionally pick at Aiptasia anemones, making it a useful pest control agent, though results vary between individuals and it should not be relied on as your sole control method. Feed a varied diet of frozen mysis, brine shrimp, and small meaty particles several times a week to keep it in good condition and displaying its best color.
