Massive Lobe Coral

Porites lobata forms massive rounded boulders that can live for centuries and grow to enormous sizes on natural reefs. In aquaria it is peaceful and hardy, tolerating moderate neglect. Its fine polyps create a velvet-like surface texture, and it often hosts boring clams and Christmas tree worms.
