Care Summary
The Chevron Tang is one of the most striking tangs in the hobby as a juvenile, with vivid chevron patterns that slowly fade to a more uniform dark coloration as an adult. It needs 100+ gallons with significant algae growth on the rockwork; the Chevron is a dedicated herbivore and will graze constantly if given the habitat to do so. Supplied nori clips and quality herbivore pellets to supplement natural grazing; underfed Chevrons become dull in color and susceptible to HLLE along the lateral line. It is generally peaceful with non-tang species but can be assertive with other tangs; introduce it with careful attention to territory in multi-tang displays.
