Care Summary
Carpenter's Flasher Wrasse is one of the most spectacular small wrasses in the hobby; males flash vivid red, orange, and purple fins in a constant display to impress females. Keep a single male with two or three females in 55+ gallons; males will fight to the death if two are housed together, and a lone male without females will display less frequently. A tight-fitting lid is essential; flasher wrasses are jumpers and the first few nights in a new tank are the highest risk period. Feed frozen mysis and enriched brine twice daily; they are active and burn calories quickly, so consistent feeding keeps males displaying and females fat and healthy.
