The Mystery Wrasse is a striking and bold reef-safe wrasse with a distinctive pattern and a personality much larger than its 4-inch adult size suggests. House it in 55+ gallons; it establishes a territory and will be aggressive toward other wrasses of similar size and appearance, though it ignores most other reef fish species. Feed frozen mysis, meaty foods, and quality pellets twice daily; it is an active, competitive feeder that does not require any special effort to get eating in a new tank. One practical benefit: it actively hunts bristle worms and small flatworms in the rockwork and substrate, which makes it genuinely useful in addition to its visual appeal.
