The Pink Spotted Watchman Goby is a beefy, personable goby that pairs reliably with Alpheid pistol shrimp and spends most of its day hovering near the burrow entrance watching for threats. House it in 30+ gallons with a sand bed of 3+ inches; the sand depth is necessary for the shrimp to excavate a proper burrow, which is the foundation of the whole behavioral partnership. Feed frozen mysis and meaty foods twice daily near the burrow; it eats heartily for a goby and will approach food actively once settled, which is more than you can say for most shy gobies. Secure the lid; like all watchman gobies it will jump when startled, especially at night when the tank is quiet and any sudden noise or light change can trigger an escape attempt.
