Pinkbar Goby

Care Summary

The Pinkbar Goby is one of the most visually distinctive of the prawn gobies, with clean vertical pink bars on a white body that stands out clearly even in a heavily decorated reef. Pair it with a pistol shrimp and you get one of the most watchable behavioral setups in the hobby, as the shrimp maintains the burrow while the goby stands guard. It is peaceful with everything in the tank and should be one of your first additions to a new reef, before more aggressive fish are introduced. Give it a sand bed it can burrow in and a cave or crevice to claim, and it will stay put and thrive.
