Care Summary

The Orange Marble Starfish displays a mosaic pattern of orange and cream across its body and arms, making it one of the more decorative sea stars available for display tanks. It is best kept in a large, mature reef or FOWLR tank of 75 gallons or more with open rock and sandbed to explore, and it should not be housed with predatory fish or animals that may nip at its tube feet. Like most ornamental starfish, it is not tolerant of poor water quality, and ammonia or nitrite spikes can be quickly fatal, so add it only to stable, fully cycled systems. Feed multiple times per week with meaty foods placed directly beneath the animal, including clam on the half shell, chopped seafood, and sinking carnivore pellets to ensure consistent nutrition.
