Horn Coral

Hydnophora exesa is a stony coral with a rough surface covered in horn-like coenosteal projections called hydnophores. It is aggressive and will chemically and physically damage neighboring corals on contact. Despite its aggression it is prized for its unique texture and branching or encrusting growth forms.
