Care Summary
The Banana Wrasse is a fast, active swimmer that needs a 75-gallon minimum with a tight-fitting lid because it will jump given any opportunity. As it matures the male coloration becomes vivid yellow-green; females are drabber but both are active throughout the day, providing constant movement in the upper water column. It will eat ornamental shrimp, small snails, and tiny fish without hesitation; plan your cleanup crew and nano tankmates accordingly before adding one. Feeding is not an issue: offer frozen mysis, chopped seafood, and pellets and it will eat aggressively from day one.
