Care Summary
The Sixbar Wrasse is an attractive and very active Thalassoma that gets underused in the hobby, mostly because the genus has a reputation for being invert-unfriendly. Those six dark bars on a greenish body with the distinctive pink-and-blue facial markings make it one of the more visually interesting members of its genus. Like all Thalassoma, it will eat shrimp without a second thought, so FOWLR or fish-only is the right environment for long-term success. Feed it a varied carnivore diet and it will stay robust, colorful, and active across the entire water column.
