Care Summary

The Moon Wrasse is about as bulletproof as saltwater fish get, and terminal males develop a genuinely impressive combination of green body, pink facial markings, and yellow crescent tail. That hardiness comes with a cost: it will absolutely eat ornamental shrimp, small crabs, and any worm it can find, so reef applications need careful planning. Fish-only and FOWLR systems are where this wrasse really shines, because you can feed it aggressively and enjoy its confidence without worrying about casualties. Get it young if possible and watch it work through the color phases; the full terminal male coloration is genuinely something special.
