Care Summary
The Bellus is the holy grail for reefers who want a truly reef-safe angelfish, because as a planktivore it is one of very few angels that simply does not nip corals. Males are breathtaking, with a peachy-orange body contrasted by dark dorsal and ventral striping and that elegant lyretail, while females are pale with simple stripes. Feed it enriched frozen zooplankton multiple times a day because it feeds in the water column and needs frequent small meals rather than occasional large ones. Keep only one male unless you have a very large system; females coexist well but two males will fight.
