Care Summary

The Bicolor Blenny is a nano-friendly, reef-safe algae grazer that earns its keep by picking at film algae and diatoms on rockwork and glass. House it in 30+ gallons with plenty of rockwork for perching and grazing; it needs micro-algae habitat to thrive, so a brand-new bare tank with no algae growth will leave it underfed. Supplement its grazing with algae-based flakes, nori sheets, and spirulina pellets; a blenny that runs out of natural algae to eat will start nipping at fleshy LPS polyps. It is personable and interactive, often perching on a favorite rock and bobbing its head, but it can be feisty toward other blennies in the same tank.
