The Ghost Shrimp is a transparent, nearly invisible scavenger that works the sand bed and rock rubble zones, consuming detritus and uneaten food that accumulates at the substrate level. It is best suited to peaceful nano tanks or refugiums, as most medium to large fish will eat it on sight given its lack of any defensive coloration or armor. Fragility is the main challenge: it is highly sensitive to water quality swings and copper-based medications, and it will be the first animal to show distress when parameters slip. No target feeding is needed in systems with regular feeding, but occasional algae wafers or fine-particle frozen foods will sustain it in lower-bioload setups.
