The Sexy Shrimp is a tiny, charming species best known for the rhythmic rocking motion it displays as it moves, and it is a popular choice for nano reef and pico tank builds. In the wild it associates with anemones for protection, and in captivity it does best when a suitable host such as a bubble tip or carpet anemone is available in the tank. Its small size is both an asset and a liability: it is completely reef-safe and non-aggressive, but most mid-size fish will eat it without hesitation, so tankmate selection is critical. Feed finely crushed mysis or micro-pellets a few times per week, ensuring food reaches the bottom of the tank where it spends most of its time near its host.
