The Spaghetti Worm is a scavenging polychaete that lives buried in substrate, extending long, thin tentacles across the rockwork and sand to collect detritus and food particles. It is harmless to corals and fish, performs a useful cleanup role, and often arrives as a hitchhiker on live rock, which is a sign of a healthy, established biological community. The challenge is mostly cosmetic, its tentacles can stretch several inches in all directions and surprise hobbyists who don't know what they're looking at, but no action is needed. No target feeding is required since it subsists on tank detritus, but it thrives best in tanks with a mature sandbed and regular feeding of other inhabitants.
