Care Summary

The Teddy Bear Crab is one of those crabs that stops people in their tracks at the store, covered in dense, soft-looking bristles that give it that unmistakable plush appearance. It's a genuinely reef-safe, peaceful species that does well in smaller systems with plenty of live rock for foraging and hiding. One thing to know is that it's naturally cryptic and often stays hidden during the day, so don't be surprised if you rarely see it unless you catch it out at night. It grazes on algae and organic debris on its own, but you can supplement with small bits of meaty food or algae-based flakes a couple of times a week.
