The Tiger Cowrie is one of the most striking shells in the hobby, a large, glossy gastropod that bulldozes through rockwork and substrate with ease. Keep it in a FOWLR or aggressive reef with no small inverts, as it will consume snails, hermit crabs, and soft-bodied animals without hesitation. The main challenge is its appetite and size, it needs a 75-gallon minimum and will rearrange your aquascape regularly. Feed meaty chunks like shrimp and clam a few times a week, and it will stay active, healthy, and polished.
