ARC Fireworks

ARC Fireworks is an Acropora strain from A Reef Creation (ARC), named for its multicolour display. It grows as a branching table, and the branches carry multiple colours at once, so a colony bursts with varied tones rather than settling on one — the firework effect the name promises. The spreading, table-like form combined with that colour mix makes a mature piece a genuine centrepiece in the upper aquascape.

Care

Keep Fireworks as an advanced Acropora in a mature SPS system, with high light and strong, random flow across the whole colony — a tabling form needs water moving over and under it. Alkalinity stability is essential; hold alkalinity, calcium and magnesium steady, test regularly, and keep nutrients controlled but present. The full multicolour effect only develops under sustained stability, so favour consistency over frequent tweaking.

Placement and growth

Place it at the top of the rockwork on an open position where the branching table can spread. Growth is moderate, and it should be mounted securely with room on all sides. It is peaceful, but a spreading colony will shade corals below it, so plan its footprint early and keep aggressive neighbours at a distance.
