Battlecorals Bonfire Table

Battlecorals Bonfire Table is a tabling Acropora from Battlecorals, Adam Derickson's SPS-focused operation known for hardy, well-proven aquacultured pieces. True to its name, it grows into an orange-red table, with colour like embers spread across a flat, horizontal colony. A mature table is an impressive sight, and the warm orange-red tones are the signature to look for across the plate and its growing rim.

Care

This is an advanced Acropora for a mature SPS system, needing high light and strong, random flow — flow is especially important for a table, since water must move across and under the plate to keep it healthy. Keep alkalinity stable, with calcium and magnesium in balance, and nutrients controlled but present. Test regularly and make changes slowly. A tabling form will show stress at the shaded underside first if flow is inadequate.

Placement and growth

Place it in the middle-to-top zone, on an open, flat-topped position where the table can spread horizontally without running into neighbours. Growth is moderate, and a wide, secure mount helps the colony plate outward. It is peaceful, but a table will shade corals below it, so plan its footprint with the aquascape in mind.
