Green tip Acropora subglabra

Green Tip Acropora subglabra is an uncommon SPS in the hobby — the species builds compact, encrusting-to-plating colonies with standout green corallite tips that fluoresce intensely under blue-dominant lighting. Top placement with high light and high multi-directional flow; subglabra is a shallower-water Acropora that expects full energy and underperforms significantly if compromised on either parameter. The slow growth rate combined with advanced difficulty means this is a coral you pay for once and don't want to lose — acclimate it over three to four weeks and don't skip the dip protocol, because pest damage on slow growers compounds for months before it's obvious. Dose amino acids weekly and keep a clean refugium or macroalgae system online; subglabra colors best in tanks with balanced low-not-zero nutrients and consistent trace element replenishment.
