Loripes Acropora
Acropora loripes
Care Summary
Loripes Acropora is a delicate, open-branching species with elongated axials and sparse radials that give it an airy, almost fragile look — in a well-tuned system it develops striking fluorescent tips that make it a standout in any SPS display. High light and high flow at the top of the tank, but avoid direct powerhead blasting — loripes branches are slender and can suffer physical damage or uneven growth from unidirectional high-velocity flow. This is not a beginner Acropora — it's sensitive to parameter swings, particularly alkalinity and temperature, and will show tip recession fast when something is off. Dose amino acids regularly and run a trace element program; loripes is one of those corals that visibly rewards dialed-in supplementation with dramatic color enhancement.
