ORA Blue Voodoo

ORA Blue Voodoo is a tier-two Acropora strain from ORA, presented as a deep blue staghorn. Its signature colour is a deep blue carried through the staghorn form, giving open, antler-like branches a rich and uniform tone. In a mixed SPS display it provides a strong block of blue that pairs well with green, pink and multicolour neighbours without losing its own identity.

Care

Keep this advanced staghorn in a mature SPS system with high light and high, strong random flow moving through the branch structure. Alkalinity stability is fundamental, supported by steady calcium and magnesium and consistent nutrient levels. Strong flow helps keep the inner branches clean and healthy as the colony expands. Make all parameter and lighting adjustments gradually, and rely on regular testing rather than reactive corrections to maintain the deep blue colour.

Placement and growth

Place it at the top of the rockwork in direct light and turbulent flow, allowing generous vertical and side space for staghorn branching. Growth is moderate, and a settled colony can become a substantial feature, so plan spacing at colony scale rather than frag scale. It is peaceful, but neighbouring corals can shade its lower branches if planted too closely. A permanent, open position high in the aquascape suits it best.
