Care Summary

Paletta Pink Tip is an Acropora strain carrying Mike Paletta lineage — a name associated with some of the most influential reefkeeping in the hobby. The signature look is clean and simple: a green body finished with pink tips. That pink-on-green contrast appears on every growing end, so even a modest colony shows the trait clearly, and the strain has endured because the colour combination is both pretty and reliable under good care.

Care

This is an advanced Acropora suited to a mature SPS system. It wants high light and strong, random flow, with alkalinity stability as the foundation of its care. Keep calcium and magnesium in balance, nutrients low but present, and parameters tested regularly, adjusting in small steps rather than large corrections. Pink tips respond quickly to instability, making them a handy early warning that something in the system has shifted.

Placement and growth

Mount it at the top of the rockwork in the brightest, highest-flow position available. Growth is moderate, and a secure mount that encourages encrusting helps it establish. It is peaceful, but it should have clear branching space, away from stinging neighbours and out of the shade of faster-growing corals, so the pink tips keep developing across all its growth.
