Care Summary

RR Pink Floyd is a named Acropora strain from Reef Raft, known for a cheerful colour combination that stands out even among other premium acros. A yellow body carries pink corallites and pink tips, so a growing colony reads as two-tone from across the room. The contrast deepens under strong light, and the strain has remained a familiar name in serious SPS collections for its bright, unmistakable palette.

Care

Treat this as an advanced coral suited to a mature SPS system. It wants high light and strong, random flow, with rock-steady alkalinity as the non-negotiable foundation. Keep calcium and magnesium in line, maintain low but not zero nutrients, and avoid sudden changes to lighting or chemistry. Colour is a useful health check here: a fading yellow body usually points to instability, excess nutrients, or light that needs adjusting gradually.

Placement and growth

Mount it high on the rockwork, in the top zone where it receives the strongest light and turbulent flow. Growth is moderate, and a secure mount that lets the base encrust will help it establish before it branches outward. Although peaceful, it should be given clear space — neighbouring corals that shade it or reach it with sweepers will cost it colour and growth.
