RR Rainbow Loom
Acropora sp.
Recommended from the shop
Care Summary
RR Rainbow Loom is a Reef Raft Acropora strain named for the way colour is woven along its branches. Instead of a single body colour with contrasting tips, its branches carry a rainbow gradient, shifting through multiple tones as they grow. That blended, multicolour effect makes colonies look different from every angle and under different points in the light cycle, and it is the trait collectors look for in a true piece of the line.
Care
Keep this strain as you would other advanced Acropora: a mature SPS system, high light, and strong, random flow. Alkalinity stability matters more than any single target number — hold it steady, keep calcium and magnesium consistent, and avoid nutrient spikes or starvation. Introduce frags to full light gradually, and watch the gradient as a guide; washed-out colour usually means something in light, flow, or chemistry needs a slow correction.
Placement and growth
It belongs at the top of the rockwork where light and flow peak. Growth is moderate, so mount it securely, let it encrust first, and leave open space around it so the branching form can develop without being shaded. The coral itself is peaceful, but neighbours should not be allowed to overgrow it or reach it with stinging tentacles.
