TSA Bill Murray

TSA Bill Murray is a Top Shelf Aquatics Acropora strain with a playful name and a serious colour combination: a green body finished with purple to blue tips. The cool-toned tips against the green tissue give growing branches a frosted look, and the contrast sharpens under high light. It has become one of TSA's more recognisable named strains, frequently kept as the green-and-purple representative in mixed acro collections.

Care

This is an advanced Acropora suited to a mature SPS system only. Provide high light and strong, random flow, and build everything on alkalinity stability — steady alkalinity, calcium and magnesium, tested regularly, with dosing adjusted in small steps. Keep nutrients present but controlled, and avoid sudden swings in any parameter. If tip colour fades, review stability and light first and correct one factor at a time.

Placement and growth

Place it at the top of the aquascape in the strongest light and flow. Growth is moderate once the base has encrusted, so mount it firmly and leave room for branches to spread without touching neighbours. It is peaceful, but it should be protected from shading and from aggressive corals that could sting its growing tips.
