TSA Carolina Reaper

TSA Carolina Reaper is a Top Shelf Aquatics Acropora strain named after one of the world's hottest peppers, and its colouring follows the theme: a red body with bright tips that look lit from within. The hot red base is the signature, with the lighter, vivid growing tips providing the contrast. It is a bold piece that holds its own visually even in a top shelf full of other high-colour strains.

Care

An advanced Acropora, Carolina Reaper belongs in a mature SPS system with high light and strong, random flow. Keep alkalinity exceptionally stable, with calcium and magnesium in balance, and nutrients controlled but present. Reds are quick to dull when parameters drift or nutrients rise, so test regularly, dose in small increments, and ramp new frags into full light gradually. Steady conditions over time are what keep the red intense.

Placement and growth

Place it at the top of the aquascape where light and flow are strongest, mounted securely so it can encrust before branching. Growth is moderate. It is peaceful, but give it clear room — shade from faster neighbours and contact with aggressive corals will both cost it colour. Bright tips and deepening red tissue signal a well-chosen position.
