WWC Pink Panther

WWC Pink Panther is a World Wide Corals selection of Acropora tenuis, kept for one simple reason: it is a genuinely bright pink tenuis. The saturated pink colour runs through the body rather than sitting only at the tips, which makes even a small frag easy to spot in a crowded SPS display. Pink acros that hold their colour are uncommon, and that reliability under good conditions is this strain's calling card.

Care

As an Acropora tenuis, this is an advanced coral for a mature SPS system. Provide high light and strong, random flow, and keep alkalinity rock-steady, with calcium and magnesium maintained alongside it. Nutrients should stay low but present, and parameter changes should always be gradual. If the pink begins to wash out, look first to stability, nutrient levels, and light before changing anything else — and change only one thing at a time.

Placement and growth

Mount it at the top of the aquascape where light and flow are at their peak. Growth is moderate for a tenuis, and secure placement that lets the base encrust will speed establishment. The coral is peaceful, but give it clear branching room and keep it out of reach of aggressive neighbours and out of the shade of faster-growing pieces.
