Care Summary

The Black Ice Clownfish is a designer morph of Ocellaris with bold black patterning that intensifies as it matures; care is identical to the standard Ocellaris. House it in 20+ gallons; a single specimen or mated pair does fine in a nano reef, and the black pigmentation looks especially dramatic against a bright anemone or hammer coral. Feed frozen mysis, brine, and a quality pellet daily; like all clownfish it is an omnivore and does best on a varied diet rather than a single food source. Captive-bred designer clownfish are among the hardiest fish you can buy; they eat prepared foods from day one and tolerate a wider range of water conditions than wild-caught fish.
