Care Summary

The Tomato Clownfish is a robust, boldly colored clownfish that hosts reliably with bubble tip anemones and is significantly more aggressive than Ocellaris or Percula clownfish. House it in 30+ gallons; the female will aggressively defend her anemone territory and can be relentless toward fish that venture too close, so give her adequate space to establish a reasonable perimeter. Feed frozen mysis, brine, and quality pellets daily; it is an omnivore that eats everything offered and stays healthy on variety; the real management challenge is temperament, not diet. Pairs well with a large Entacmaea quadricolor anemone; once bonded the female becomes intensely protective of both the anemone and the male, which makes for one of the most behaviorally engaging setups in the reef hobby.
