Care Summary
The Golden Coral Shrimp, also sold as the Golden Coral Banded Shrimp, is a striking alternative to the more common Coral Banded Shrimp with the same bold personality and same potential for aggression. Keep only one per tank unless you have a confirmed mated pair, as they will fight and kill conspecifics, and they will also prey on small shrimp like peppermints or sexy shrimp given the chance. They are generally safe with corals and larger fish, but their aggressive nature toward crustaceans means you need to choose tankmates carefully before adding them to a mixed invert setup. Feed meaty items like mysis, chopped shrimp, or carnivore pellets a few times a week, and they will also actively steal food from corals and other invertebrates during feeding time.
