Nephthea is a genus of arborescent soft corals that forms branching tree-like colonies covered in tiny polyps. Some species are non-photosynthetic and require regular plankton feeding, while others host zooxanthellae and can rely on light. High flow encourages polyp extension and keeps the colony healthy.
