Tasers

Tasers is a Zoanthus strain with an electric blue-green face and a yellow centre, a charged, high-energy colour pairing that glows under reef lighting. The blue-green disc does most of the visual work, while the small yellow middle sharpens each polyp into focus. It is a Tier 3 collector strain, sought by keepers who favour blue and teal tones that remain uncommon in Zoanthus.

Care

Place it under medium lighting with medium flow in the bottom to middle of the tank. Maintain measurable nutrients — zoanthids sulk in ultra-clean water — and stable alkalinity, with flow through the mat to keep polyps clean and fully extended. Rated intermediate in care difficulty, it benefits from a mature tank, a careful light acclimation, and a fixed position once it begins to establish its mat.

Keeping and spread

Growth is moderate and mat-forming, spreading across rock from the colony edge. Provide roughly 2 in of space so the mat does not smother slower neighbours, and isolate it if long-term containment is a priority. Aggression is moderate. Frag by cutting cleanly through the mat between polyps, mounting the section to a plug, and letting it recover in medium light and flow.
