Care Summary

The Asfur Angel is one of the most striking fish in the hobby with its deep blue body and yellow crescent, but it needs 150+ gallons to thrive long-term. This is a Red Sea endemic that appreciates moderate to strong flow and a tank with substantial live rock to graze on and hide within when it wants to decompress. Expect some coral nipping, especially at LPS and soft corals; the Asfur is best in a FOWLR or a reef where you have some expendable colonies to sacrifice. Feed a varied diet including angel-specific frozen blends with sponge content, nori, and mysis; without sponge in the diet colors will dull over time.
