Care Summary
The Koran Angelfish is a large, dramatic species where the juvenile shows a stunning spiral pattern that morphs into the adult's yellow, blue, and white coloration over 18-24 months. Plan for 150+ gallons; Korans reach 14 inches and are active swimmers that need substantial room to cruise throughout the day. Expect coral nipping especially at LPS and clam mantles; this is best suited to a FOWLR or a very large mixed reef where occasional grazing losses are acceptable. Feed sponge-based angel blends, nori, mysis, and varied frozen foods daily; like all large angels, diet variety is the key to maintaining color and long-term health in captivity.
