Care Summary
Lubbock's Fairy Wrasse is one of the more accessible fairy wrasses, with attractive pink, red, and yellow coloration and a hardy constitution that beginners can manage successfully. House it in 30+ gallons with a secure lid; it is a jumper and the first few nights in a new tank are when escape attempts are most likely. Keep one male per tank; males are territorial toward other male fairy wrasses but coexist peacefully with females and most other reef fish species. Feed frozen mysis and enriched brine twice daily; it eats readily and is among the easier wrasses to get established on prepared foods compared to more delicate fairy wrasse species.
